Pay attention! CMA CGM freight rate will follow the actual departure date (ATD)! Implemented on April 1st
Publish Time: 2022-02-22 Origin: Site
On February 16, CMA CGM's official website announced that it will implement the "Freight Application Date will follow the actual departure date (ATD)" for all routes exported from China (except North America). This regulation will come into effect on April 1st, 2022 (the actual sailing date).
Then the focus is coming. Due to the impact of COVID-19, the ports around the world are currently congested, and the on time rate of ships has reached a record low. If the resulting delay in the shipping schedule and the late departure of the ship cause the freight rate to rise, does CMA CGM require the freight forwarder to pay higher freight?
The specific notice is as follows:
Dear Esteemed Customer,
In the spirit of process simplification and enhanced transparency, we would like to reiterate you about further standardization in the date of the freight application:
Freight Application Date will follow the actual departure date (ATD)·
Applicable trades: Export shipments from China to all trades except Transpacific(North America)
Effective date April 1st,2022 (ATD)
