Ministry of Commerce:The long-term development of foreign trade will not change

BEIJING ,Feb.25(People’s Daily Online)—The State Council Press Office held a press  conference to introduce the work on coordinating the prevention and control of the novel corona-virus (COVID-19) and social economy development. Ren Hongbin, assistant to the minister of commerce and fellow member of Communist party, said China has strong and competitive foreign trade, especially the enterprises’ innovation consciousness and ability to open up the market. Thus, the long term development trend of foreign trade will not change.

The Ministry of Commerce has issued more than 20 policies to help enterprises resume work and production,guarantee orders,guarantee contract performance and guarantee to stabilize the market. Various departments, such as Finance and Taxation, Banks, Customs and Insurance, have also issued support policies. Numerous foreign enterprises are resuming production while doing epidemics prevention. At present, many provinces have resumed their work.
